We are excited to announce the release of the latest version of NumXL 1.67 (MARTHA). The new version includes full support for the U.S. census bureau’s latest X-13ARIMA-SEATS seasonal adjustment software in Microsoft Excel.
Using the NumXL X-13ARIMA-SEATS wizard, you can select a wide range of options for seasonal adjustments, data transform, model selection, outliers’ detection, and more. We have implemented many validations mechanics to ensure the consistency of selected options sets.
Although the X-13ARIMA-SEATS feature is a brand-new development, we leveraged all the lessons learned supporting users with their X-12-ARIMA issues over the years: for instance, handling data sets that exceed the X13 program limits, running the X13 program only when input data changes, running concurrently multiple X13 models, and much more.
What about the existing X-12-ARIMA models?
NumXL 1.67 supports both X-13ARIMA-SEATS and the legacy X-12-ARIMA models, and, using the X-13ARIMA-SEATS wizard, you can migrate older X12 models to equivalent X13 models.
As of version 1.67, the new installer program requires an elevated user’s permission level, so you may need an administrator to do the installation on your machine. This step is necessary as users are increasingly facing restrictive software policies preventing X12 (and X13) from running on their machines.
